Road To Etosha

The next day was a mere 225k, from Roy's through Grootfontein--and provisioning there--and Tsumeb, to Namutoni Camp, in Etosha National Park, where we would spend three days.
Ever-changing terrain, increasingly arid

Until a wrong turn takes us into Tsumeb, a bit of an oasis, in
every way

Mining town, as I recall; uranium

Parked for lunch near a sink-hole lake

One of Namibia's many curiosities are these road-side picnic
areas, literally every few kilometers, everywhere except the
deepest desert

Road hazard ahead
