So it has taken me 3 months to finish recounting our seven weeks in NYC. An initial catch-up is at Interim Update #1285 (required reading). Long story short, we left NYC and are now wintering in Orlando, Florida. Also, we bought a car. A few weeks after arriving in Orlando, we drove to Ft. Lauderdale for Thanksgiving with my sister Carole and her husband Jim and daughter Lexi. A fun time was had by all, as documented by the pix below. Sadly, I didn't take a picture of the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks, Carole!

You can't go back department: if you're from Miami, one of your cherished memories is Farm Stores' seasonal egg nog; we snagged a couple bottles near Davie and were thrilled; our joy was short-lived, however...the year's edition was made at an alternative dairy, due to hurricane damage...the flavor was OK, but the viscosity was way too thin...

You can go back department: Shorty's BBQ, another south Florida memory, here at it's south Broward location, Vicki about to plow into her favorite pork BBQ sandwich |

Enough with the iconic views already... |
