La Défense, les sculptures

French law evidently requires that if you put up a big building, you have to adorn the grounds with sculpture. So here is a smattering of sculpture from La Defense...
The original La Defense, a monument to the French killed in
the 1870 Franco-Prussian war

Water features are sculpture; according to me

Updated Burghers of Calais?

Thank you ever so much for sharing your journey. I love it!
Even though I don't (usually) comment I see all your posts. Keep those pictures coming!
I'm going to be in Paris for the first time and just for a very limited time (one day), what would you recommend as a must have to see/be place?

Many thanks,
Denise

As many times as we have been in Paris, we have never been to La Defense either. Looks like we have been missing lots of neat things. Loved the sculpture of the updated Burghers of Calais.
