We also do markets of all kinds, and particularly flea markets. Barcelona's big one, Els Encants, was a 15 minute walk from our apartment. It's in the Glories district, so we had to see the Torre Glories too, one of Barcelona's landmarks.

Approaching Encants, a purpose-built market structure; open-air but interestingly covered |

Torre Glories over there |

Trying on shoes |
You'll find a bit of everything here...memorabilia, infamabilia, over-stocks, estate sales, collectibles, clothing, hardware...a bit of everything |
Chainsaw district |
Most interesting to me...the underside of the roofing is a mirroring metallic...and so you get these fascinating pix... |
Overwhelmed by it all, we repaired to the Westfield shopping center for lunch/snacks...including the largest Carrefours ever, so far...with check-out line to match... and then lingered by the Torre Glories, one of Barcelona's many landmarks |
Not really all that tall, but colorful, and dominating the skyline |
Only a few hundred meters away, the Sagrada Familia... we'll visit in a few days |
Returning...another view of the Encants and its mirroring |
On the upper level, many shops, mostly collectibles |
Quick! Someone tell Tom Hanks! |
Lugar increible! |
