Our fun old-fashioned family Christmas moved for 2025 to Tybee Island, Georgia, where we had rented a beachy house for five days. The travel and transportation issues--coming from Cary, NC, Washington, DC, and Chicago, IL--meant a somewhat scaled-back Christmas, for us, particularly in terms of meals (no fondues!) and number of presents, but we had a great time nonetheless.

Not the house we rented but nearby; we were somewhat deficient in our documentation; e.g., there were no pix of a great meal at the Crab Shack... |

| Did not know this |

Click to enlarge; the black speck near the middle is a pelican; a bit further out and to the right you can see the fin of a large dolphin patroling... |
