Art/Architectural Walk, 1

So the museum is closed on Tuesdays, we astutely noticed upon arriving, and so, with help from our favorite chatbot assistants, we fashioned a half-day Chicago art/architectural walking tour, scenes from which appear below and in the next post.

We started at snow-covered Millennium Park

Now we have wandered into Macy's/Marshall Fields; looking
for the lingerie area made famous by Clark Griswold ("a bit
nipply"); but, easily distracted, we are admiring the leisure
suits now showing here in the States...

And other men's fashions...OK to mix plaids now...

The aforeseen skylight

The real reason for returning to Macy's was to see
the Tiffany Dome, on the 5th floor; or 7th?

We've seen more Tiffany things than the average bear, but somehow
had missed the glass mosaics...this among the largest, and its year+
installation overseen by the master Himself

Impressive

By the time we got to the lingerie department we had ascertained
that the scene in question was filmed in LA (of course), made to
look like Chicago...

We had fun nonetheless
