Walt Disney World, 2022: Miscellaneous Scenes, 2

So, you ask, what were your favorites rides? Well, we always do the traditional favorites: Small World, Haunted Mansion, Tea Cups (Vicki's favorite, providing there care strong arms to turn the cup), Peter Pan, Enchanted Tikis, and, always my favorite, the Jungle Cruise. Also, the shoot-'em- up rides, Toy Story Mania and Buzz Light-Year's Space Ranger Spin. Also Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain (not me). We liked the old-fangled nostalgic Carousel of Progress, but did not like the Tomorrowland Speedway. Soarin' is a perennial favorite. We especially liked the Star Wars rides, Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler's Run; Star Tours less so. Slinky Dog was OK. Some liked the Tower of Terror; I personally detested the Aerosmith Rock 'n Roller Coaster. The aforementioned African Safari was great; and the Flight of the Avatar. FWIW. And subject to further comment.

Still in Animal Kingdom, where I took the most pix: two giant
turtles fighting it out (slow-motion)

Love Disney humor, though there's never enough

African river entertainment

Now in Pandora; didn't care much for the movie, Avatar, but
the scenery was interesting

Our avatars are being created, for the ride, another of the jerky/
tilty variety, with stunning video

The Pandora tree, which dominates this part of the park

In SE Asia; convincingly

Especially the bamboo, which is industrial grade; and real

In one of several aviaries

Now in Thailand

The Tree, at sunset

Pandora by night, well worth the wait

Waterfall

The Tree, illuminated

Moving right along, now we are at the Experimental Prototypical
Community of Tomorrow, where it is the first day of the annual
Flower and Garden Show (tip: on the first day of anything, expect
larger crowds and influencers)

Not exactly Keukenhof, we thought, but a nice respite from
the unrelenting concrete that is most of EPCOT

Outside (Iron Chef) Morimoto's, at Disney Springs, the Peking
Ducks were calling to us

Thus, for Vicki and me; one of the best

Moving right along, now in the Magic Kingdom, Small World,
remembering Paris, Disney Paris...

Riding the skytrain thing

And the monorail...in the old Contemporary Hotel

In addition to the grand parade at the Magic Kingdom, they also
do a variety of mini-parades (COVID), featuring the park-appropriate
characters

Obviously, we're back in Hollywood Studios

But all good things must end...and so here we are, decamping
on March 9th; not to worry, however, Vicki has made reservations
for mid-December, just in case...
