Cara had never noticed hydrangeas until she spent a summer in France living with a French family. She came back raving about these fabulous "French" flowers that were everywhere. She described them, and I immediately recognized them. She was so surprised to know that they were growing all over Fayetteville. They are still some of her favorite flowers, and she has planted two bushes in front of her new house in Chicago.
