Swiss Wedding Parade

We had been seeing French and Swiss wedding entourages for a couple weeks. Cars are a major part of it all, decorated with bouquets and streamers, proceeding to the ceremony, then "chasing" the newlyweds out of town. Vicki got these three pix somewhere east of Interlachen. Near Les Houches we saw a cavalcade of some 30 cars.

We saw decorated cars like that for the first time when we were in Villefrance Su Mer with the kids in 1999. A wedding party came down the street right under our balcony. It was all convertibles with the hoods decorated with streamers and bouquets of flowers. I am not sure we even got a photo of it, but we were duly impressed. Have seen them in France a couple of times since, but that first time was really impressive.
