Paris Eats, 2

Pastries at a grocery

Crazy here too

Extraordinary meat/cheese board at a resto in St. Denis

In case you missed it in a previous post, "our" boulangerie/
patisserie, Michael Reydillet won the best baguette in Paris
prize for 2025; he'd also won it in 2016; we have been truly
spoiled...Reydillet a block away and Bread and Roses just
half that...

Dessert at the extremely popular Relais d'Entrecote at
Montparnasse...le Vacherin, layers of meringues, vanilla
ice cream and raspberry sorbet, topped with raspberry
coulis and whipped cream

French fruit cake

French hot dogs

Running for his life...

At Odette's, a pair of lemon cream filled choux

Even McDos can be objects of beauty in Paris

Paris Eats, 1

Being a compendium of places/dishes we ate in 2025, food curiosities, and other foodie stuff...

We lived a block away from the Cyril Lignac patisserie
in the 11th, in 2019, and so had to stop by for a few more
incredible treats

We lived in the 11th also in 2014, and there discovered what has
become our family-favorite creperie, Creperie Bretonne, at 67 Rue de Charonne;
here is Penelope, age 3, discovering Chantilly

Over the years...

2025...now sampling the 2% cidre...pix by her mom, Rebecca

Ice cream at the ever-popular Berthillion

Beef Bourginon at Louis-Philippe

A salmon, leek, balsamic concoction at Louis-Phillipe, one of the best
ever for me

At my favorite, Mollard

Downing oysters

Her onion soup

More great salmon

Her steak was inedibly-tough; this might have been the
second try...next time, price-up...

Wild strawberries, very rare, and very pricey...we used
to pick these from the slope of our backyard in Montana...
worth whatever they cost

At a market in the Marais

In your dreams

Final Paris Scenes

Our last week in Paris the Tuileries were graced with both the Cauldon, from the 2024 Olympics, and a small traveling amusement park. Vicki wanted to see the Cauldron and so we took in the rest, mostly out of curiosity. Not Paris' best, but then we've seen more than our share of the best.

Boating on the Seine

The ferris wheel and the Cauldron

Aloft

And a Louvre bit

Next day, in the temporary amusement park

Us, with the Cauldron resting

On the midway

Le Maison de Mickey: Disney was of French ancestry...

Bump 'em cars

Kiddie bump 'em cars

And a few of the wilder rides...

Crazy people up there, upside down, waiting for the other
coach to load...
