On The Road In Namibia, 2

It was 341k from Katima Mulilo to Mahangu and then 415k from Mahangu to our next stop, Roy's Rest Camp, near Grootfontein. We were on the road a good bit..the roads were good and there was much to see.
New sign for us...leaving gravel, onto pavement; we'd see it
rarely in the coming days

If there was one thing uplifting about Namibia it was the
excitement of these children, near a village, heading for school

Despite dire warnings, the roads in Namibia remained good;
the dire warnings were to prove true in a couple more days

Countryside

Women carrying children and 5 gallon buckets--for water--
sometimes, evidently, for miles

In other places, poverty far less stark

On the left, one of the ubiquitous taxi vans

Alas, the zebra-striped Mini would have been a great shot
